For the third year, The GCF is the definitive global platform for constructive dialogue on core competitiveness issues, including human resources development, international trade, knowledge based industries, FDI, the environment and sustainability, innovation, globalization, and the micro- and macroeconomic consequences of becoming globally competitive.
In 2009 we discussed on issues such as:
- How can competitiveness address the needs
of society?
- What is the role of innovation in competitiveness?
- Are we sufficiently accommodating and enabling
the diversity of human resource potential?
- Is collaboration implied in competition?
- Are we maximizing the value of our natural
resources?
- Is global competition the new economic driving
force?
- What really is prosperity, and can the earth sustain
global “prosperity”?
- Are efficiency and responsibility mutually exclusive?
- How can competitiveness come across within our
homes?
- What is the future of oil?
- What are the risk facing the global economy?
2009 theme is “Responsible Competitiveness”, and over one hundred of the world’s
